But what are the differences between the Powerbeats 3 and the Pro (except for the $50 increase in price)? The new Powerbeats Pro are lighter and smaller (17 and 23 percent, respectively) than the Powerbeats 3, which should appeal to people who plan to use them while doing sporty things. They've also got better sound and better controls (important when you're running, for example).
I bought first gen airpods, but after 2 years I got just 2 at most hours of playtime and that was deal breaker that I am not gonna purchase another airpods, simply too expensive to be replacing them every 2-3 years... So in the September I bought powerbeats pro, just to try them and maybe let them go... Well now they are my daily carry. Sound is decent and I don't even know about "hook", I am not really fan of silicon tips so I am using the smallest ones and don't stick them deeply, just tip. But what is really bad about powerbeats is charging, many times they simply don't connect pins to charge them (last month I found out after few hours in charging case that they are still connected to phone...) that might be improved in second gen, but over all I think they are pretty great...
Should you buy Beats Powerbeats Pro instead of AirPods
UPDATE - i went into an apple store. i was able to replicate the problem with their demo pair of powerbeats pros. So it is a product design issue. I asked the technician to bring over a manager and after some persuasive convincing, the manager to refund my purchase on a gift card and then i bought the airpod pro. I am very happy with that.
My powerbeats pro actually came with the right bug dead out of the box. So I left it on the charger and got it to charge. Since then I noticed that the right ear bud doesn't always charge even though I have been making sure they click and make a magnetic connection every time. I've come to find that when the left ear bud is 100% full and my right ear bud is on 0% because it didn't charge, the only way to get the right ear bud to charge is to leave the case open. Otherwise, if i put them both back in to charge the right ear but only charges for a few minutes then completely dies out again.
Hello,I got a powerbeats pro as Christmas present. I paired it with my iPad air and it worked fine. After 5 mins it stoped working. On my iPad it says that the headset is still connected. But the sound comes from the iPad and not the headset. I tried to reset, reinstall but the same problem. I even tried to connect to my iPhone but got the same problem. It says that the powerbeats pro is connected to my phone but the sound comes from the iPhone and not the headset.
My wife buy me a powerbeats pro and the right earbuds was not charging.. then i try to reset it but not it was so hard to pair it the case was just blinking white but i cant pair it with my iphone 6s plus..it just keep on blinking..pls
Though technically a part of the Apple family, the Powerbeats have a few advantages over the similarly priced Apple AirPods, chiefly that the former are IPX4 water resistant. Essentially, this means that splashes of water are fine but they shouldn't be immersed in water. Beats has also claimed 15 hours of battery life for the new Powerbeats, which is great if true, but remains to be confirmed. 2ff7e9595c
